September 2017 was not kind to the British Virgin Islanders and Islands with Hurricane Irma one of the strongest hurricanes ever recorded inflicting major damage across all the islands.
Peter Island was not immune. Damage assessments are still underway from Hurricanes Irma and Maria, and unfortunately like many similarly situated properties, the resort will remain closed for the duration of 2017 and into late 2018. There is no reopen date yet as this will depend on the progress of the BVI government to restore normal operations, the return of staff, and of course the rebuild. The combination of these factors will be the basis of the eventual reopen date.
Updates when received will be posted on this website. In the meantime, whilst all other text has been removed the images and video remain to remind us of what a special place Peter Island Resort and Spa is.
